Minutes PART Meeting July 16, 2019

Your scribe was late for this meeting. I apologize for the incompleteness of these meeting minutes.
Andy, KB1OIQ, opened the meeting with the usual round of introductions.
Sad to announce one of the founders and first president of our club, Bo Budinger, WA1QYM, became a SK on July 14, 2019.
We were honored to have all of Bo’s family attending: his wife Carol; sons Bruce (AB3BB) and Brian, and daughter Brenda.
They thanked the ham community for the warm support they received.
Andy gave homage to Bo’s life.
Many members came forward with anecdotes about how Bo mentored their ham experiences, and his involvement in other hobbies such as railroads, slot cars, scouting. Many stories came from Niece, KA1ULN, Terry, KA8SCP, Allison, KB1GMX, Al, KD1D, Rich, AB1HD, and many others who I lost track of.
Tom Walsh, K1TW, ARRL Section Manager, emphasized the leadership contribution Bo made to the PART club and the many other clubs he helped guide as a Club Coordinator.
The speaker for the evening was George, K1IG, who gave a wrap-up of the 2019 Field Day.
A round of applause was given for the tremendous job George did again.
His informative slide deck will be available on the WB1GOF website.
Andy wrapped up the meeting with a slide show of photos from past Field Days featuring Bo with apt captions authored by Rick Green, W1RAG.
