In lieu of our Annual Holiday Party at some festive eatery, George, K1IG, opened a video meeting of the Club with 28 participants.
George mentioned that Skywarn may be activated on the 955 repeater for the forthcoming winter storm this Wednesday/Thursday.
There is no officially sponsored Winter Field Day event this year. However, Andy, KB1OIQ, has graciously accepted the chairmanship for a possible unofficial event. Further word coming for this event to be held in January 2021.
Alan, W1AHM, presented the Treasurer’s report:
Phil Temples, K9HI, newly appointed ARRL Vice Director, was the evening’s speaker. He gave us an update on the ARRL happenings. Phil’s slide deck is available on the WB1GOF website, and details the following:
George wrapped up the meeting with a Q&A session.

- $6,994 balance in the General Fund
- $5,705 in the Repeater Fund
- $1,269 in the Kit Building Fund
- Total cash on hand $13,968.

- New League CEO, David Minster, NA2AA.
- What’s new at ARRL:
- LifeLong Learning – on-line education opportunities.
- New publications and magazines available online.
- Volunteer Monitor Program
- Volunteer Examiner Coordinator Program
- Regulatory Advocacy
- Phil had some fun quizzes and a list of ham radio movies.
